Random Things I Love About My Husband

Since next month will be 3 years since our first date (yes we are one of "those" couples that celebrate that sort of thing) I wanted to make a list of all the things I love about Eric and give it to him on our anniversary. This blog may have to be edited and updated over the next 3 weeks, but I am going to begin with the reasons that come to mind first....

1. I have really bad insomnia and he entertains me at 2am by making "shadow animals" with his hands on the ceiling even though he is so tired he can barely keep his eyes open.

2. He wrote me a really long story for our 1 yr "first date" anniversary detailing how it felt to fall in love with me... he even typed it.

3. He would rather hang out with me than anyone else and not only tells me this, but proves it every weekend.

4. Even though he adamantly insisted when we first met that he had never had even the slightest desire to get married and would never, ever do it, he started hinting around about marriage at Thanksgiving (less than 4 months after we met) and took me "ring browsing" for my birthday 2 months later. (His friends and parents were SHOCKED!)

5. He bought me the diamond engagement ring that I wanted even though he had been planning to get new tires.

6. Even though he never wanted kids or even considered a baby before we met, he paid for me to get my tubes untied when I got "baby fever" because he said he wanted to always give me everything I ever wanted.

7. When we go thru the drive-thru at Panda Express he orders the food in a chinese accent "I wan wan ah-da fry ri." *Translation: I want one order of fried rice.*

8. He loves my kids and gets along with their dad.

9. I found a box that has every movie stub we ever went to together, a note I scribbled to him shortly after we met, a state fair token from one of our first dates and other little momentos... and I never had any idea he had saved that stuff.

10. He always buys two packs of gum when he goes to the store... his favorite and my favorite.

11. He came to see me every single day for my break when I worked at the Police station... He never missed one time.

12. Even though he has an extremely weak stomache and can't handle blood, he sat beside me during surgery and held my hand (reference #6.)

13. He gives the best greeting cards... and gives them often.

14. He treats his mother really, really good. **You can always tell a mans character by how he treats his mother.

15. When we get mad at each other, he always apologizes first (even when I should be the one apologizing) and he usually does it within an hour.
